As I ponder over Hope turning 1 and the event of her birthday and now making out the thank you cards...I just cry thinking of Birth Mom. Did she remember? How did she remember this child? What did she think about? Did she remember this child's birthday with great sorrow and pain or with prayer, peace and belief that she was well, loved and completely had the best? What did she think about on that day? I thought about her many times that day..... My Heart rejoiced over her courage and her strength to do what she had to do to give this baby life. I know that she had to ride a chicken truck 4 hours into the city to Give "Hope" Life, with the threat to her life and her unborn child's. I am beyond words grateful to this very special Birth Mother. She not only gave "Hope" Life, she gave me life full of Joy. I am indebted to her and I will with all my heart and efforts make her proud! God had planned all along that Birth Mom would give love thru giving Hope Life and we would give love thru Parenting this amazing soul!

Outdoor Fun.....
Our Dear Sweet Hope! Life wouldn't be life without her...she is the highlight of our day all day long. She is so much fun! Her personality is really peaking now. She is a jokster. It doesn't help when I am trying to dress her or get her to stand still. She always used to work with me before, when I told her to help me.."what is mommy doing",..hold still,..help me. She always did great! Now everything is funny to her. On the flip side of that, I was warned about a possible "Latino" temper from another adoptive mom. I also get to see that side once in a while. THe little boy that I take care of during the day has brought out even more of that SIN nature in Hope...if she thinks that "Will" is violating her space...I have seen her make a face and then grab his arm for a pinch and squeeze. The first time I saw that, I was thinking, "who taught my angel that?!" At this point all kinds of new things are surfacing. We are having the time of lives, to say the least!!!!!!!
