Thru the gift of World Vision sponsorship we have another child on board. It was something that happened very unexpected. We saw the world vision booth and someone came to talk to us after they spotted Hope and wanted to meet her. We began to ask questions after it came out what country Hope was from. The girl said that she did not think that they had any Guatemalan children. When she came back she said that there was only one left and that was 6 1/2 year old Marta Luisa. Hope kept pointing to her picture that the lady was holding. Finally the lady let Hope hold the picture and if you could have only been there to witness the love that came from Hope for this little girl that she held in her little hands. It appeared totally impossible what we were witnessing from Hope's response, but it became clear that God had chose Marta for our family. This is a great connection for Hope to have for many reasons as she grows up and understands her beginnings in Guatemala as well as learning about her country thru the eyes of Marta. If it be God's Will, Marta will be a friend connection for Hope someday in Guatemala.

It truly has been a gift to watch Hope love on Marta's picture. When we pray for her thru out the day, Hope holds Marta's picture and is totally dedicated to that prayer time. What a great way to teach her the love that God truly has for orphans and to teach her how blessed she and Marta are.
