How do we know?

Did you ever wonder who decided where to put the "New Year" on the calendar?

Who would dare consider changing God's way of reckoning time? He ordained it in the book of our beginnings..( Genesis 1:14) and later told Moses how to set up HIS calendar of events/Appointed times/Appointments with men. ¹⁴Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.

• GOD told Moses in Exodus 12 to put his "New Year" in the spring....14 days before "Passover",... not in the dead of winter. Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

DO we think that we have really managed to change GOD'S ORDAINED CALENDAR OF TIME AND MEMORIALS TO HIMSELF? Does it matter to him that what HE SAID has all been changed? Scripture will verify that whenever anyone changed HIS words in any way, HE did not fail to make adjustments to their thinking.....

As a result of the worlds calendar change....we have lost what God says he is doing year around and what he yet plans to do. We have lost, the real days, that HE CHOSE to proclaim, reveal and commemorate Himself to the world!

So who is the world, as a whole, talking about and commemorating? I have yet to FIND SCRIPTURE to support ANY of those commemorations.

If you do the research, you will find, that ALL these yearly events that the world celebrates....year after year, handing down to the next generations, to repeat, you will find that they ALL originate from paganism. I think that Jeremiah says it well.

• Jeremiah 16:19B... the Gentiles shall come unto thee (the JEWS) from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Like I said in my last post...we began to question everything next to scripture. IF God said that HE purposed HIS " New Year" to arrive in the spring...that is exactly how we repeat it. What real meaning does it contain if it's not "GOD'S" way? What true meaning does it have (to HIM) if we celebrate Him in a way that HE does not speak about Himself or represent Himself? Would you like it or appreciate it? You or I would probably want to BLOW if somebody at work mis-represented us! You/we are left with the question of fiction or fact? Fake or real? Authentic verses counterfeit? People seem to be more interested in, authentic, when it comes to designer clothes and hand bags.

Most peoples reactions to these scriptures are commonly expressed by these words: "This is just for the Jews"...BUT scripture answers that: "there were no people yet, on day 4, in Genesis 1:14, not until day 6, Genesis 1:27. This calendar was about GOD setting up HIS appointments with Men....and for the whole world to worship HIM thru the events that HE chose to describe and reveal HIMSELF! The second common remark is: "we are not under the law:" IT is not about the Law: they are ALL HIS APPOINTMENTS with men, unlike christmas, easter, etc., that he does not mention or name as HIS appointed times! The events that GOD does name as, HIS, DO NOT have any PAGAN connections of origin and they are all about HIM. They confirm what he has already done and reveal what he is going to do......study the appointed times and see what you find out thru scripture alone...but first you will have to take off the mindset of TRADITION and OUR PAGAN WESTERN CULTURE!

God calls ALL these events on HIS calendar...HIS FEASTS/and HIS APPOINTMENTS-APPOINTED TIMES.

These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons- (MOEDIM-the Hebrew word/ Appointed times/appointments with men). Leviticus 23:1-4

These are the appointed times of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them....

THAT'S GOD speaking....So when are we celebrating HIM? Most are not celebrating HIM in the appointed times that HE is speaking about, nor those that HE CHOSE to represent HIMSELF! But we can choose to, as many already have. We may feel somewhat alone, unlike the great crowds of the worlds celebrations, you may even be the only ones in your family circle doing it......BUT it is the greatest of all times to be doing what you can find God talking about in his word. From Foreshadows to fulfillments.

There is so much more to uncover..."the Sabbath Day is another one"...Which day did GOD say it is, per scripture alone, using HIS reckoning of time?
