Well the ticker says it is 17 days away ..... reminding us how close it is before Hope turns ONE YEAR OLD!!! .... She is moving right along...Her first upper tooth appeared a few days ago...that makes 4 teeth in now. She just waved for the first time, on her own today, when we were leaving a friends house...as I said the Mommy thing...Tell Janet Bye..Bye..and up that little arm went and that little hand began to flag back and forth..what a sight!!! She is in love with walking which at this time requires me bending over for long periods of time holding her as she stomps, walks and dances! What a love she is! ....we have now invented a walk behind support, a box, which stands at Hope's waist level, she puts her hands on it and pushes the box across the floor as I keep a hand very close to her. She really loves that freedom..but if she begins to loose her balance she really panic's. She has just learned that she can get in sitting position from standing so that will eventually take her fear of falling away. She is just doing great and we all couldn't be happier. We are planning a big family birthday party for her and soon those proud pictures will be posted.

Outdoor Fun.....
Our Dear Sweet Hope! Life wouldn't be life without her...she is the highlight of our day all day long. She is so much fun! Her personality is really peaking now. She is a jokster. It doesn't help when I am trying to dress her or get her to stand still. She always used to work with me before, when I told her to help me.."what is mommy doing",..hold still,..help me. She always did great! Now everything is funny to her. On the flip side of that, I was warned about a possible "Latino" temper from another adoptive mom. I also get to see that side once in a while. THe little boy that I take care of during the day has brought out even more of that SIN nature in Hope...if she thinks that "Will" is violating her space...I have seen her make a face and then grab his arm for a pinch and squeeze. The first time I saw that, I was thinking, "who taught my angel that?!" At this point all kinds of new things are surfacing. We are having the time of lives, to say the least!!!!!!!

I can't believe she is so close to one already! I sure wish we would be able to celebrate with you, but with Ben's adoption not finalized, we still can't. Sounds like Miss Hope will be walking in time for her party if she keeps moving along like she is!
Rachael and Chanan... approaching one year is sooo exciting!!! I know you guys must be pulling together very special plans for this first birthday for Hope! We just can't believe that Matthew is turning two in just a month! The time goes too quickly that is for sure! ENJOY!!! Pam and Greg and Matthew
